Paint & Appaloosas Now Eligible For Triple Crown

 Two-year-old Paints and Appaloosas have a chance to earn cash and prizes thanks to the new Triple Crown sponsored by Speedhorse.

The three races consist of the Grade 1 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity to be run at Remington Park on May 26, the Grade 1 Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity to be run at Tulsa Fair Meadows on August 4, and the Grade 1 Lone Star Park Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity to be run on November 2.

To qualify for Speedorse Paint & Appaloosa Triple Crown Champion, horses must enter, be paid in full, and run in all three races. The horse who wins all three races will be named Triple Crown Champion and will receive ownership of a 4-Star Trailer, a one-year usage of a SportChassis™ Heavy Duty pickup, and other awards to be announced.

There will also be a High-Point Champion awarded at the end of the series. Horses must enter, be paid in full in all three races, and run in at least two of the Triple Crown races to be eligible. Points are accumulated according to the position in which the horse finishes in each race, and the horse with the most points at the completion of the Triple Crown series will be the High-Point Champion. The horse named High-Point Champion will receive a cash bonus and other prizes, to be announced.

Payments on the first leg of the Triple Crown – the $100,000 added Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – began in October, 2011. There is still time, however, to enter your horses with a late entry fee. The last time to enter your horse is May 1.

Payments on the second leg of the Triple Crown – the $50,000 added Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – began in December, 2011. There is still time to enter your horses with a late entry fee. The last time to enter your horse is at time of entry for trials. Trials are scheduled to be held July 21.

Payments on the third leg of the Triple Crown – the $50,000 added Lone Star Speedhorse Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 – will start May 1.
