Stolen Horses from Blue Ribbon Downs

Sallisaw, Oklahoma - Sometime between 9pm on Sunday night and 6am on Monday morning, August 24th two horses were stolen from Shiloh Training Center in Sallisaw. Also stolen from the horsemen's parking lot at Blue Ribbon Downs was a late model red stock trailer.

Taken on the evening or early morning of August 24th from the Durk Peery barn at the Shiloh Training Center was Awesome Rip, a three year old gelding Quarter Horse and Paint double registered stakes winner. Awesome Rip is owned by Don Peery and trained by Durk Peery. Awesome Rip has a star, strip and snip that extends onto the upper lip and has white on the chin. He is carrying the tattoo # 5774Y. Pictured winning the Pot O Gold Futurity at BRD last October.

Also missing is Chiseled by Fisher,a three year old gray Quarter Horse gelding, has a large star and tapering strip, large snip and left fore half pastern white with dark spot. He is lip tattooed with 3318Z. Shown in photo in qualifying trial for the Oklahoma Bred Derby. He was the second fastest qualifier for the finals which runs August 29. He is owned by Richard and Ramona Cooper and is trained by Marty Ireland. He was taken from the Ireland barn at Shiloh Training Center. He was the second horse taken from the Ireland barn in three weeks. The first was Mai Cowboy Mike, a two year old gray Quarter Horse gelding, in the stall next to Chiseled by Fisher. His Tattoo # is 00140
